SCA Name: Sonya Alexandrovna Fedotovskaya (I'm still thinking on my official SCA name, but I picked this because it's basically what my real name would have been if I was born in Russia - if I got the declensions right. It will do for now.)

Location: Shire of Hartshorn-dale, East kingdom.
Persona Information: I'm still researching my persona location and time period.
SCA Interests: Right now anything Russian. Although I'm creating a Russian persona, I'm also interested in Polish and Latvian history and culture because I've got a little bit of that in my ancestry too. I'm leaning towards learning anything about the bardic arts in Russia, if anyone can give me any hints. I can play the Pan flute, and though these were found in Romania, I have no idea if they ever showed up in Russia, so my bardic arts would be limited to story telling if I chose that course.
Other Information: I'm learning the Russian language, but please don't expect anything more than a blank stare on my face if anyone tries to talk to me in Russian:-). I absolutely love Russian mythology and fairy tales and have a collection of books on the subject. I like to do artwork and write (I've published my first short story and it will appear in the forthcoming Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword and Sorceress vol. 16 under my maiden name Sonya Fedotowsky). I love role playing and I love history, two big reasons why I want to join the SCA. I also collect Russian Lacquer boxes.
