Location: Ostgardr, East Kingdom (Brooklyn, New York)
Persona Information: Peotr was born in Novgorod in 1252. His father was a member of the princely house, his mother a steppe nomad. He lived much of his childhood in exile in other parts of Rus, in the south and notably Galicia.
He immigrated to the East Kingdom at age 13, where he assembled his druzhina House Ostrov. Peotr manufactured one of the first mail shirts in Ostgardr and his household brewed early and highly explosive mead. Ostrov has won some fame for both service and rowdism in the past 26 years. Peotr has occasionally dabbled in slave trade and pagan practices. For his sins the church has condemned him to an eternal meatless fast. These days he is happily settled down with his
Mongol woman, Otgon the Bemused. He has mostly given up hope of returning to Novgorod and taking the Princely crown.
SCA Interests: Authored The Compleat Anachronist #99, Life in Thirteenth Century Novgorod, several articles for Slovo and T.I. Research, writing, calligraphy, illumination, storytelling-
especially period sources, Kievan Rus, Nomadic and Early Period Peoples. Hope to visit
Turkey and Central Asia (Samarkand and Kashgar) in next two years.
