Persona Information: Kseniia Smol'nyanina - i.e. of Smolensk - hails
from the territory of the Krivichi in the 11th century. She spent
some time in the household of the noble boyarin Tour, but was forced
to leave her new family...
SCA Interests: I have been fascinated by Russia since early high
school, which prompted me to major in Russian/East European Studies
(double with Music) in college. I sang in a Russian choir for 3
years, and spent a year studying in Smolensk (about halfway between
Moscow and Minsk). I also spent a year in Moscow while working on my
MA in Russian, which was completed in August 2001. In Moscow I
played with a Russian reenactment group, Nasledie Predkov , for those who read Russian or like to
look at pictures).
