Persona Information: The year is 1589, I am the 37 year old son of an artisan on a little votchina estate outside Rostov. I escaped at age sixteen and became a member of Ivan Grozny's Oprichinik for 2 years. I spent 7 years as a factor for the Stroganov family fur operations in the Ob River basin, where I learned my current trade. I set up my own fur trading enterprise with my English partner, a factor for the Muscovy Company and the third son of an English nobleman.
Since the fortunate death of Tsar Ivan, a few expensive but well placed bribes have officially "confirmed" my new identity as the orphaned son of a minor Russian court noble, fallen on hard times. I have spent the last several years expanding our operations from Kolmogary on the White Sea to the Caspian Sea port of Astrakhan.
