I love Russian food. Pirozhkhi, pelmeni, borshch' with smetana, etc, drool, drool. We used to have a small Russian restaurant here in Madison called "The Russian House." Most of the food was Georgian-influenced, but the traditional Russian and Ukrainian dishes (especially the sweet-cheese vareniki) were wonderful. Lucky for me (and my wallet) I am also considered a good cook and try to make Russian food at home when I can. On this page, you can find information about both modern and medieval Russian food.
